Each year Feldmeier Equipment manufactures hundreds of custom single shell atmospheric vessels. Single shell tanks that are used for storage and/or mixing come in all shapes and sizes.

Based upon process requirements and space limitations the staff at Feldmeier works with your engineers to determine the proper vessel for each application.

Single shell tanks can be factory built or field erected and range in size from 5 gallons to 500,000 gallons. The most common configurations are vertical cylindrical and horizontal cylindrical. Although dome style heads are common on single shell tanks, they may also be manufactured with flat heads, conical heads and hemispherical heads. Tanks that are included in this category include CIP Tanks, Balance Tanks, Beverage and Juice Storage Tanks, Totes, Surge Tanks and Water Tanks.

When your storage application requires agitation, Feldmeier engineers will select an agitator to match your processing requirements. Feldmeier offers a variety of agitators designed from mild to aggressive. If your goal is to keep items in suspension, dissolve solids, minimize foaming or aggressive blending to minimize batch times, the staff at Feldmeier will custom design the vessel and agitator for you.
