The meeting was called to order by President of the Association, Lynn

For purposes of a quorum, an attendance sheet was prepared.
Lynn Bryant reported that the Spring Fling held May 7th and chaired
by Lisa Knapp was a great success. Approximately 75 residents attended
the festivities. Everyone participating in working for the event was
thanked for their efforts.
After a count of ballots, the outcome of the elections for the 2005-2006
year were as follows:

Tim Vaught, chairperson for Tree Committee, reported that our group
may qualify for some federal funds for tree replacement if we are willing
to change our tax status. After some discussion, a motion was made to
change the tax status of our association on advice of the Executive
Committee. The motion was seconded and accepted by vote of members present.
Additionally, Tim Vaught was tasked to determine if our group could
qualify for the funds with our current status. Mike Jones was tasked
to see if there is a way to qualify through an umbrella organization.
Cynthia McCollister would poll the membership via email for a list of
damaged trees in the area. Executive Committee will take on the task
of examining available tax status for our association and provide a
recommendation at the next meeting.
Lynn Bryant announced the church is holding a rummage sale and Saturday,
May 21st from 7:00-10:00 AM. All residents of Capitol Heights are invited
to attend the sale.
The meeting adjourned.
