![]() March 12, 2002 Regular Meeting Minutes President Jack Pearson called the meeting to order at 7:10 PM. Old Business: Reviewed and approved the minutes from the January 8 regular meeting. New Business: The association heard from a resident that the rental home at 2140 Winona has had renters that ran an illegal puppy mill and was suspected of other illegal activity. Spring-Cleaning is coming. Discussion ensued relative to how we can best clean up the neighborhood. Suggestions included neighborhood cleanup day and block sponsorship. On the 1800 block of St Charles the residents began parking in the front yard. After complaints were filed, the owner covered the front yard with gravel. Ken Reynolds reported he had discussed this with the city and they have sent an inspector and told the residents the parking lot in the front yard violates city ordinance. The city planted a tree in the spot where we erected the Christmas Tree at Armstrong Park. A motion was made to form a Parks Committee to work on park beautification. The motion was seconded and carried by voice vote. Recommendations for members included Jack Pearson, Scott Simmons, Mark Russell and Maryland Rutherford. The committee is charged with recommending ways to spend some of the money raised during the Christmas Tour.
