Unfinished Business:
There was no unfinished business.
NewBusiness:
Ms. Julie Borden, an architectural student
at Auburn, spoke and handed out questionnaires. They will help
her with her Senior Thesis at Auburn. She is including Capitol
Heights in her work.
Under New Business, the EC met to discuss
the AHEPA additional building to their current complex.
AHEPA is building a four story -24 unit
building. They have staked a vacant lot on Washington Avenue that
back up to Mt. Meigs Road. They will tear down 2 houses.
We want them to leave the existing trees;
decrease the number of parking space; create a garden or park
area for good looks; and build an attractive fence or planting
of hedges to hide the parking lot from neighborhood view.
A home on S. Capitol Parkway requests a
10 foot privacy fence in the backyard. We approved.
The Landmarks Foundation wants to present
a walking tour of Capitol Heights in May.
The meeting adjourned at 8:50 p.m.
