Alex Casimus built this Victorian home in 1906 for the sum of $2,300. Charles Turnipseed purchased the house in 1923. The house stayed in the Turnipseed tamily until 1979. The current owner, Jay Wilkinson and daughters Brittney and Lexie, purchased the home in 1999. There are six fireplaces, with the original tile work and wood mantels. The house has 12-foot ceilings throughout and original features include plaster walls and ceilings, heart pine floors, two sets of pocket doors, and stain glass in the dining room and entry door. |
